Your kids are at the age where slides are a thing – each and every one of them. But, they might not be the the age where they can go on every one of them. So, of course, you are naturally looking for slide for your little ones. Depending on the age of your child you might need to help them out getting up and going down the slide. Being a good parent, you know safety is a factor. Choosing the right slide for your child is key.
I got my kids the Little Tikes Easy Store Large Slide. Don’t get this confused with the Little Tikes First Slide. That is a different, smaller slide. I went with Large Slide because I knew my kids would grow with it and they have. Let’s dive in to exactly why the Little Tikes Easy Store Large Slide is a perfect choice for a growing child.

Parts and Construction
Thankfully, there aren’t too many parts for the slide. You have the slide, the latter, the connecting support, and supplies that keep it together. All in all, it’s an easy toy to put together. Little Tikes makes well made instructions so keeping up with what the instructions are telling you to do is quite simple. I did need a hammer though so be aware of that. Putting the end caps on was probably the hardest part. You should be ready to slide in about 10-15 minutes.

How it Plays
My kids love this slide. My kids are 6 and 3 and both have a ball on this slide. They even put stickers on to decorate it.
My 6 year old has been playing on this slide since she was 1 and a half. The age recommendation for this slide is 2-6. This is where your judgement comes in. I knew she would grow with this slide but this slide is quite tall for a child under 2. If you do decide to get the Little Tikes Easy Store Large Slide, you’ll have to watch and guide them up the latter to make sure they get up safe.
My kids like to go up the slide backwards so watch for that
It is very common for for my kids to go up the slide backwards so watch for that. Another thing too is making sure your child is not afraid of the height of the slide. I know some kids wouldn’t like this height but if they are like my kids – challenge accepted!
If you do decide to go with the Little Tikes Easy Store Large Slide over a smaller one, know that this slide will last for quite a while. To me, it’s well worth it to get the larger one. It’s also MUCH sturdier than the Little Tikes First Slide. The Little Tikes Easy Store Large Slide was well worth the investment. Easily top 3 of my kids most played with toy.

Cleanup and Storage
With this being a larger slide, it’s obvious that it will take up more space. The beauty about this slide is that it folds down when not in use. Take the connecting support off the hook, fold that down then you will be able to fold the slide down into one long piece. You should be able to put it up against the wall in the garage or in the kids play room. Granted, it still takes up quite a bit of space but it is much better than not being able to fold it up at all.

As I said previously, this is one of my kids top played with toys for the past 4 years and they are still playing with it. If you have the room in your house or in your backyard, get them a slide they will love!
