Little Tikes Waffle Blocks Review
One of the ultimate Little Tikes classic toys. My kids are big into building things so this was right up their alley. There is always competition between two sisters when it comes to who builds what and what to build. There is plenty of blocks for both of my kids to play with.
The original waffle blocks are the bigger version of the waffle blocks line. If you are interested in the smaller version, check them out here. The box is like the size of a suitcase with a handle on it. There are 18 blocks that come in a box. Let’s see what the kids can do with them.

As stated, the big box holds 18 tri colored waffle blocks. Nothing else needs to be done for your kids to start playing with the blocks. Just dump them out and the kids can start building how they want to build. Don’t throw away the box though.

How it Plays
The beauty about the waffle blocks is that they can be used any way kids want to use them. They can build just about anything they can imagine. Kids can imagine quite a lot.

If your kids need help getting ideas of what to build, the box has some examples laid out so your kids can get a sense of what things should look like when built. Most of the time, what they build on their own is greater than anything that is on the box.
How the waffle blocks work is simple. Each side of every block has 2 or 3 prongs. All kids have to do is connect one side of the block to the opposite side of another block. Basically connect the 2 prong side to the 3 prong side to get an even build. Once your kids pick up on this simple building system, they can go off and build whatever they feel like building.

I think my biggest complaint about the blocks is the fact that there is too little amount. Sometimes there are things the kids cannot build because there are just not enough blocks to build it. So if you have the space and the money, I suggest getting two boxes of these waffle blocks so your kids can utilize more blocks to build the massive ideas that are in their heads.

How it Plays
Cleanup and Storage
This might be a time for sorrow for your kids as they are tearing down their giant creations, but cleanup is just as simple as getting the blocks out. Remember when I mentioned to keep the box these came in? Now is the time to utilize it. No need to throw it out. Just use it as the storage box for the waffle blocks. Unless you have some other additional containers you have to put the waffle blocks in, using the box they came in is perfectly suitable. Just try to keep the box in working order. It does sustain wear and tear over time so just be mindful of the quality after years of use.

My kids love their Little Tikes Waffle Blocks. We pull them out anytime when they feel like building big structures around the house. If your kids love building tents or forts or any other in-house structures, these will be a big hit for them. All you really need to do is have an open play space and they go wild.
